Homa secures second win at this tournament and with Team Burns & Wilcox
Farmington Hills, Mich. (May 10, 2022) – Burns & Wilcox, a globally recognized leader in wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriting, today is recognizing Max Homa – one of its brand ambassadors – on winning the Wells Fargo Championship this past weekend in Potomac, Maryland.
The win marks Homa’s fourth career PGA Tour victory and the second time he earned the Wells Fargo trophy. This is also his second win since joining Team Burns & Wilcox in early 2021.
“I am thankful to partner with Team Burns & Wilcox and for their ongoing support as we both continue to make game-changing strides and impact as champions in our fields,” said Homa. “This accomplishment is incredibly rewarding, and I am certainly motivated to carry the momentum, energy and focus throughout the season, on and off the course.”
Homa navigated challenging weather conditions during the early rounds to reach the top of the leaderboard. He dueled back-and-forth with Keegan Bradley on Sunday, closing with a two-under 68 for a two-shot victory. This win moves him into sixth place in the FedEx Cup standings.
“We congratulate Max on another strong performance this past weekend, securing his second win as a Burns & Wilcox brand ambassador,” said Danny Kaufman, President, Burns & Wilcox. “Watching Max overcome the challenges of a difficult course is not unlike what we are currently seeing in our business. Secure in his approach, Max executed his game plan well and his pursuit of excellence reflects the qualities that are represented across Burns & Wilcox. We are proud of our partnership and look forward to supporting him again next week at the PGA Championship.”
The victory was Homa’s second this season and marks his fourth career win. In his professional career, Homa has won the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship, the 2021 Genesis Invitational, the 2021 Fortinet Championship, and now the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship.
Burns & Wilcox currently sponsors three PGA Tour players: four-time winner Max Homa, seven-time winner Webb Simpson and six-time winner Jimmy Walker. The sponsorship with Walker began in 2016 and expanded to include Simpson in 2017 and Homa in 2021. Homa and Walker wear the Burns & Wilcox logo on the right side of their golf shirts and Simpson showcases the logo on the left side of his golf shirt. The company logo is also featured on Simpson’s caddy’s hat and towel.
In addition, Burns & Wilcox has an official partnership with the Detroit Red Wings and the company’s logo is visible on center ice of Little Caesars Arena.
