Burns & Wilcox Expands with Houston Leadership Team Additions

Suzette Torres joins as Managing Director; Gina Marquez joins as Operations Manager

HOUSTON (November 14, 2019)Burns & Wilcox, North America’s leading insurance wholesale broker and underwriting manager, today announced the addition of Suzette Torres and Gina Marquez to its Houston management team. Torres joins Burns & Wilcox as a Managing Director and Marquez joins as an Operations Manager, based in the Houston office.

Torres oversees day-to-day management and is responsible for growing the Houston office, while collaborating with leadership to optimize expertise and client service. Torres and Marquez join a strong leadership team in Texas including: Hector Collazo, Vice President, Managing Director, Burns & Wilcox, San Antonio; David Gross, Managing Director, Burns & Wilcox Brokerage, North Dallas; and recently promoted, Matthew Brady, Vice President, Managing Director, Burns & Wilcox, Dallas/Fort Worth.

With nearly 15 years of industry experience, Torres recently served as Senior Vice President, Underwriting Leader, Personal Lines for the AmWINS Group. Previously, she spent nine years at Burns & Wilcox in various roles. She is known for her extensive expertise within the Personal Insurance space and her long-standing relationships with insurance brokers and carrier partners. Torres reports to Blaise D’Antoni, Corporate Executive Vice President, Managing Director, Burns & Wilcox.

Marquez reports to Torres and joins Burns & Wilcox after recently working as Assistant Vice President at the AmWINS Group. She previously spent seven years at Burns & Wilcox in various positions. In her new role as Operations Manager, she assists in overall operations of the Houston office, ensuring the quality of client service exceeds expectations.
